Wix vs GablePath

Wix is a self-service website builder. This page sets the two offers next to each other using only what each company publishes — every Wix cell links to their own page. Where they publish nothing, the cell says so instead of guessing.

A Wix alternative is not automatically an upgrade.

There are businesses for which Wix is the right answer and we are not. Here is where the line falls.

01

Stay with Wix if

Stay with Wix if you enjoy it and you have the hours. A capable owner who likes design work can put up a good site for a few hundred dollars a year, and paying someone $149 a month to do what you would happily do on a Sunday is a poor trade.

Stay if the site is genuinely simple and rarely changes. A one-page site with hours and a phone number does not need a service relationship behind it.

02

Switch if

Switch when the site becomes the thing you keep meaning to get to. Most half-finished builder sites are not a skill problem, they are a time problem — the hours went to the business instead, which is the correct decision. At $149 a month the work is done for you, and small edits are live by the end of the next business day or that month is free.

Switch if you want strategy rather than a template. What goes on the page, in what order, and what the visitor is supposed to do next is the part a builder cannot decide for you. And you keep the result either way: our agreement gives you a complete static export you can host anywhere, with no minimum term.

Nothing gets cancelled until the new site is standing.

A switch starts with an inventory of what you own and what you can export — domain, hosting, email, forms, analytics, listings, advertising accounts. Your Wix site stays live the whole time. We build the replacement separately, test the forms and the redirects, and tell you in writing when it is safe to cancel. Never before.

The step-by-step version is on the switching page. The first step costs nothing: ask for your free homepage and look at it with your current site still running.

Moving from Wix, answered.

01Isn't a builder much cheaper?

In fees, yes, and we will not pretend otherwise. The comparison that matters is fees plus your hours. If the hours are free, stay on the builder.

02Do you build on Wix?

No. We build fast static sites and hand you a complete export, so you are not tied to a platform to keep your pages.

03Can you take over the site I already built?

Usually we rebuild it rather than inherit it, and you see the new homepage free before deciding. Your current site stays live the entire time.
